aw4 into a TJ

sorry for the silly question but i want to make sure my research is right as im pickin it up tomorrow.

cherokee 95 oe 96 auto 4 spd will bolt up to my tj 97 4.0 and TC no problem. just my wiring of the tranny?

Stu-offroad has a nice write up on AW-4 install in a TJ......

You'll need the TCU plugs on the tranny and I think the XJ TCU. All the wiring will be cut and tapped into the TJ harness. I wanna do the same thing to my TJ but with a blown 4.0L...I'm going 5.3L/4L60E

if i use a bretts box or that new shifter i wont need any of the electircal right?

i got an aw4, you ever find any info on other shifter then the stock one...ive seen a few but none that seemed decent.

I think BrettM's box takes away the use of the XJ TCU. Instead of the TCU sending the signals to shift, you use the AW4 shifter to control the shifts....Manually shifting an automatic.

i planned on getting his box but it is no longer made. he said till new years but i guess that changed. dont know what to do? guess make my own? simple contraption just a pain on the first one i bet.
