Question chevy 350 to a AX5 Tranny?

Has any body ran a fuel injected chevy 350 engine to AX5 tranny? is it even possible and do they hold up? I have a dana 300 and 1 tons and would be running 39s or 42s...

Are you serious? There is a reason why they were only used in the 4 bangers.

Actually, Im not going to argue but going off heresay:
I have actually been told by a reliable source the AX-15 is stronger then the NV3500! I am by no means saying this is true! But so far, my AX-15 is doing fine behind my T.C.'d Inline 6. And I do get on it running 40's, 5.38 gears at 7 pounds of boost.

Im just saying, the AX-15 should be good behind a modest SBC ( no more then 350 HP)

It's funny - cause at first everyone loved the NV3550.

Now the AX-15 is better. I ran one for a while behind my one of my earlier turbo Jeeps. Worked good until I lost 5th gear.

If I find my self on the HWY running from the cops in 5th gear doing 120 at full boost, I will keep that in mind!

if i was running a 350 i would use a tranny that just directly bolted up to it. It has been used for sooooo many years that one of the trannys that came from the factory behind it will fit your needs.

x2! You need to swap out the ax-5 for something better! Just use a tranny that is sooted for the engine. TH350 or TH400 comes to mind for an auto. Its not expensive but will serve the purpose.

BTW: Corey is running a AW4 auto behind a 430 HP, 600 lb trq 4.7 liter T.C.'d inline 6

An SM465 will bolt up to the 350, has a killer low gear and will outlast every other part.(0nly no OD)

Be my first choice. I had a YJ with a 350 and a SM465. Nice combo.
