Dana 300 Inner output bearing ?????

I was trying to shim the rear output bearing, and when i got done i couldn't turn the shaft.

I took the outer bearing out of the housing, and put the housing on the case to see if it made a difference......The housing doesn't fit flush against the case, and when i tighten the bolts the shaft gets really hard to turn...

What's the deal with this thing??
Need a new bearing?
Could the bearing or cone have moved somehow?

I'm stumped and am ready to chuck this piece.
