I called Arabias overkill fabrication, and they told me they would make me a pair of boatsides just like the ones they built for a customers tj. You can find some pics of it on their site, its the grey rubicon.

I spoke with them on the phone about it. Great looking setup, but built to the rig, not the masses. You have to bring in your jeep for a custom fitting, which is understandable.
But no "kit" that could be ordered. I'm holding out for Gen-Right's full boatsides. Hopefully they will be out by the end of the year. |

Needless to say I want some boat sides that don't interfere with the factory B pillar and seat belt. One of the links that Swag posted is what I want and similar to what B.A.R.K. posted. There is no way someone can tell me that they can't be produced to the masses. It all depends on how crazy people got with their cages and such for them not to work for the "majority" of the Jeep crowd.

Dave's Customs Unlimited sells a boat side kit. I actually just bought one myself, but have yet to install it.
On sale for $250 right now. Great guy to deal with, good product, nice price. Whats not to like? Dave's Custom Unlimited Boat Side Kit

I don't have any pics of the inside because like I said, I haven't installed my set yet. I do have some pics Dave sent me. None of them are from the inside, but it shows the extent of the cutting that needs to be done and might give you some idea of what you're looking for. He also said that when he does installs in house that he usually welds back in some 16ga sheet metal to fill the the cut out area before he installs his rockers.

Love the look of boatsides and had originally wanted to do that to mine, but the decided that it was a lot more work than I wanted to do and also cuts a lot of strength out of the tub. Which you alleviate by welding the whole shebang to the frame. Then frame flex will eventually tear the tub to pieces or so I thought, so I did the next best thing and made some semi boatsides, been pretty happy with them, thoroughly tested them on rocks at the Hammers and it does not seem to hurt them a bit.

Do you have any more photos? Did you still clip the corner off the tub? I'm in the same boat, I love the look of boat sides and if I'm gonna protect/reenforce my rockers, why not clearance them a tad also.
