Project "Because stock is boring" YJ

Well I started this about 3.5 years ago. I was 20 and new to custom vehicles. I had the right idea with 1 ton axles but my 7in of lift wasnt going to cut it. haha. The came along Pirate 4x4 to show me how its done so I started over and I am finally wrapping it up after a 3.5 year build. Here are some pics of the beginning and where I am now. Ive learned alot over the 3.5 year build for sure.

HP60 and Rear 60 but went to 14bolt
Holy Crap hahaha
Lets lower it and throw in a LT1
Roller finally

Doubler
Built my own cage
Mounting 18in travel FOAs
Check Clearance

Well fuck it I'll chime in. Three and a half years is a long time for an orgasm but I have to say the rig looks sick.

That YJ made a pretty big transformation, nicely done. I like the lines on the roll cage.

Sweet lookin rig
What on earth happened to the original hood and fender? (looks like a solvent spill)

That's alot of flex for a standard steering set up, any plans for going full hydro?

The Jeep was a burn victim. Yea I eventually might go full hydro but gonna try assist first and see how it works.

Nice YJ gauge pods, I've always wondered how they would look in 'real life'.

Cool transformation, very clean execution. What color is the paint? Burned orange?

Yup. Just a couple small things to address and it will work pretty well on the rocks.

If you were stopped and just posing for a photo on the rock ledge then disregard, but if this photo was snapped while you were actually climbing the wall then you should think twice about having your hand/arm partly outside the vehicle, that is a good way to smash something if you suddenly flopped. Nice looking jeep!

Thanks for the fair warning and compliment but yea I was just bracing myself for the pic. The way I drive I have to use both hands on the wheel.

I'm not sure. I think just torque. I put in neutral and it set right down. Might have to adjust links on the front to help that.
