Fender flare angles for tube bender?

I just got a bender setup and want to build some front fenders for my YJ...Im still learning from scratch, so any help is appriciated...I have bend tech, but Im still learning it too....Ive searched around, but cant find any actual "angle" numbers..I just want to start bending some tubing...

Anyways, I want to do a 3.5" flare off the flat fender but I dont have a jeep local to get the angles off of that has the flares like the way I want..I want to do the flare with 2 bends, not the single bend style flare...Here is a pic of the style of flare I want to do...I want to know the angles of the 2 bends going down next to the tire...It looks like a 45* and ???..But Im not sure...

If anyone has the angle for the rear bends also to make the flares around the wheels, Ill take those too..It looks like two 45* bends and 90* on the ends?

I know the numbers are different per bender and sprin back, but I just need something to get me going in the right direction before I tear into my stock fenders...I know there are a crap ton of threads on tube fender builds, but if there is a good DETAILED build thread/link that is informative that would help me out, let me know..Thanks..

welcome to the wonderful world of fabrication, you need an angle finder, they have them at most welding supply places and hardware stores, using the angles from someone elses fenders may sound like a good idea, but its only going to get you a rough idea and the person supplying the angles may have misunderstood you, a quality angle finder is less than $30 and then you will have the angles that look right to you, and since your the one that has to live with your work, your angles should be what you want them to be, good luck and have fun.

you could get different angle from different people. When i measure for my tube fenders I consider what size tire i want to run. And the sweep of the suspension. How much of a gap between the fender and the hood will determine where your tube mounts to the grill. How much of an angle will mean figuring out where you want the tube to attach to the body, and how much room for tires you want.

I wanted to make sure i had enough room for turning, and a comfortable looking wheel well.

On my jeep i started with this

Added another peice of tubing and then figure out my actual fender part.

nothin to it but to do it. After doing a few things i would love bend tech, but I'd rather know what i'm doing first.

If you're making your own, just play with the angles and make something you like.

Here;s what I dd with mine.

I have some flares that match but I like them without.
