Wow. That was quite the display. Lots and lots of words. Personally, I think running that course in an essentially stock vehicle is quite proving of a product's merit. I dont have any Savvy stuff on my rig but Ive researched and compared it and it seems very nice. What are you supposed to do? Build a tube chassis especially to run an off the shelf belly-up skidplate? And I dont see many top cars running full corners or factory location gas tanks. The EMC is a perfect place to showcase products that are available to EVERY MAN. This argument is now taking up like 0.125% of the available worldwide bandwidth...

A decent HP60 for $600 would be a great start to you going big. You'll need to do steering and hydro assist or full hydro which is going to be the big expense. Take your time and do it right.

I've already done 2 Dana 60 front axle builds. One was an LPD60 Chevy Suburban with 44" Boggers, and the other was an HPD60 Ford with 38" PJ Dirt grips...

I'm thinking an HPD60 with alloy shafts and 42" tires, in a medium wheel base Jeep TJ with custom long arm 3 links plus track bar front and rear, would be a pretty sweet set up for wheeling here on the East coast.... A slightly stretched wheelbase would of course come into play...

Now all I need to figure out is how to pay for all of it!

Hooray Beer! My work is always above critique however! If you thought Blaine was anal about stuff, then you'd really freak out if you had to wrench next to me... I'm so OCD that I actually count the threads on a bolt that are showing after it's been torqued down... I litterally loose sleep at night because my Jeep parts don't line up the way I want them to... Maybe I need some counseling?

Honestly, when 35s are the normal "finishing point" for an entire forum, and anyone looking to go bigger is simply wasting money (I've seen that from some of you), I just have to laugh.

Jeepforum has nothing of merit to teach me. I was doing more teaching before I was banned, and the post I got banned for was the end of my final lesson, which of course went largely ignored.

You'll notice that you won't find, other than on Savvy's car, any Savvy products at KOH. And if Savvy was the be-all end-all of Jeep bolt on goodies, why are they content on winning the amateur's race at the event?

Aww thanks, I'm a Jeepforum reject. Nice to know that the God of the lamest Jeep board on the internet thinks so highly of me.

Jeepforum is the dregs of the 4x4 community. JeepsUnlimited is a better place for information than Jeepforum. The ONLY reason I signed back up on that sad sack of mallcrawling dweebs is because pirate doesn't really touch on the little things that seem to be prevalent over there. Cheap bolt on stuff that I had already planned to make my work commute a little better. Turns out that I already knew what I needed to find, and it turned out that the place was lacking in a little knowledge and a fresh point of view. Something it is again lacking in as of two days ago. Have fun with your constant inundation of 18 year old first-timers asking about how to get more miles per gallon.
Ball swinging?

The only Savvy product on my jeep is they're gas tank skid. I will say that's a very good product.

Much of my build I've done myself, before meeting some of the more prominent members on here and other forums.

The only real thing that I had built by someone else was the "J" arm, triangulated rear HP 9" axle by Currie. Which I'm very fond of by the way.

The HPd30 with the WJ conversion that I built has exceeded my expectations.

Lots of people strive to run a properly built Jeep on 35" tires, as I have.

Now that you're banned. I ask again, have you learned something?...

I do not count threads. I do make sure the fasteners match. I make sure both right hand jam nuts are at the same end front or back. I make sure that if I'm doing something transverse to the rig like a tie rod, the RH threads are on the right hand side of the vehicle, same goes for trackbars, draglinks, and similar.

If I do shocks with bolts and spherical bearings, the upper bolts are front to back and the back bolts go in from the front and the front bolts go in from the back. Lower control arm bolts at the axles have the grease fittings to the inside and to the outside at the frame. Everything has to match symmetrically where it is possible.

If I do plumbing for the steering, all the fittings have to match. All blue, all red and blue or all silver. If I use a brand of high pressure hose, it has to be the same brand of hose for the pressure line as well as the cylinder lines.

There's more, but that should be enough to keep you more awake at night and for the record, I hate prunes.

Nutswinger here.

I've spend a lot of hard earned cash with Savvy over the years. Why? Because every time I call Gerald takes care of me. I run Savvys rockers, doors, sliders and corners on my modified rig. I hope to add their their skid plate system

Why would a company build and race in a class that doesn't show case their product? EMC is the perfect show case for them.

We are moving to a new building and I plan on bringing a person on board that will be able to help me. Growth hurts but I like bursting at the seams before I bring people on. The seams have broken!

To add to that and address an absurd point made poorly earlier is why wouldn't we be spreading out from JF? We are a small company, we introduced our products on that board and we are growing. We had to start and expand from somewhere, so to give us shit about that is pretty much ridiculous.

That said, I was pleased to see you running our stuff out there.

I insert the bolts based on which side is easier to get an impact gun into place, but yeah, after reading the above, you deffinately out OCD me, lol!
