This is the second time I have seen this thread. Did the other one get deleted? I think I remember Dookie replying "Jeep Forum" but I had to sort of laugh to myself because everyone praises his jeep and it isn't exactly low. I'm thinking it is something like 22" to the frame at full bump. What is your definition of a tall jeep? Please be more clear with tire size, lift, and actual supension travel.

I'm confused. You need ground clearance but are not off camber alot?

Sounds boring

I'm picturing driving over huge speed bumps, parallel fallen trees, etc.

Best thread of the week.

so whats so much different than most hardcore rigs than that one? its on rockwells, beadlocks, its linked front and rear. sounds like a good set-up to me. and the only reason this thread is bad is because yall chose it to go that way. all i wanted to see was some rigs with some height to them, not 18in at the belly. i guess everybody here is still stuck on the lcog thing. well that wont work for where i wheel.

That Jeep is tall because it is on 54” tires!

My thoughts exactly. The link angles are pretty flat for how tall that thing is. If you want ground clearance, big tires are where it's at.

The difference is that most hardcore jeeps are actually functional! I would love the flex that thing has, and how it handles on sharp turns. There is no really reason for 54" tires, unless you're a mud runner.

Because, IMO, Peterson's is a magazine that is targeting the 90% who think bolt on is the way to go. Not to mention, that mag always puts any type of One off fabricating, is only for the professionals. So when they do feature a really truelly awsome rig, its put off as done by professionals, and the many readers shouldn't attempt on thier own. I used to be on thier forumn years ago. Then I found out, I was surrounded by a bunch of lemmings. Fawk that! Thier mag and thier "so called tech" is soo fawking weak. So when YOU put of a link to said website/magazine, THat told me on what level this thread was on. Not for me. Just sayin.

It is, what it is.
