New jeep owner

I got a cherokee 4 door and have seen some on here with beds (my welding sucks really bad and I plan on going to a class for it or figure out how to do it alone) and would like to do that. I also want a little bit of lift and trying to find a place to buy the parts and going to try to do everything myself!

I want the tube doors, 35s or 37s, custom bumpers, being to ride and have some fun. If I could weld this would be alot easier!

Your gonna need at least 8 inch suspension lift and a 6 inch body lift.

Ballisitc fab is definitely the place to go for any fab parts when you get to that point.

Rustys has the best springs in the business as well as tie rod ends.

Thornbirds. Remember them well, you will need them if you want to do some serious wheeling.

For the body lift just grab some hockey pucks and start stacking.

2x4s work great for lift blocks.

Stock springs work great if you just stack a bunch of crap under them and put a teraflex revolver shackle on the back, maybe 2.

If you cut a slice in the frame in 3 spots by the front springs, middle of chassis, and rear springs it will allow the body to flex with the springs.

Cawk breathe. You're supposed to make them sweat a little before giving them all the answers.

Fucking noob. Way to go. How are we supposed to have fun?

Get a welder and start trying. It's not really that hard to figure out.

might have to do that just get a small welder and go to town with it!

What would be a good welder for what I want to do?

I started with this one, and now I have a Hobart Handler 190.

For a single welder, I wouldn't bother with one any less than 180 amps.

I have a Miller Synchrowave 180, then purchased a Hobart Handler 140 for its portability. I am rather unimpressed with the 140 amp welder, 1/8" is about it.
