Yes it will bolt up and is the same size. One problem is the CJ defrost vents run through the windshield frame, and the JY vents from the dash. So you will have to cut holes if you want to have defrost.

where he lives I don't think he needs defrost. I haven't had it for 5 years. No biggie.

I got one on my CJ-cut the defrost holes if needed-that all...By the way-if you need a new CJ frame-definatley go with a solid YJ one over an aftermarket-hands down OEM is the way to go for your WFRAME. I have done teh flimsy $120 steel one and fiberglass (worst ever). Get a stock YJ frame and glass and don't look back.

Was looking at www.jeepglass.com Can get a new frame with matching paint, new glass, and both gaskets and shipped for $499.

another thing that is different is the bolt holes that let the windshield fold down are in different places on a cj and yj

if you get the YJ frame, I have a CJ frame on my YJ that I will trade ya. Mine will bolt up in yours and yours will bolt up in mine just a thought if you are just wanting a CJ frame. I want a YJ frame because I need to reconnect my roll bar to the windshield. The frame is an original frame, no rust, no problems at all just kinda looks goofy on my YJ because it doesn't have the holes for the roll bar to bolt back up.
