93 zj it is bakfiring through the intake

I have a 93 zj it is bakfiring through the intake all sensors check out no codes but 55 which is the all clear what else could it be I would check fuel injectors but can't find out anywhere what they should read if someone can help please do with out anyone being a smart azz

when I run out of fuel in my yj with 4.0l conversion it will try to run and it has backfired into the intake, just a thought if someone has this problem look toward fuel delivery/ pressure, and injector firing
