YJ Steering Box - Pirate4x4.Com : 4x4 and Off-Road Forum

I am moving my steering box forward on a YJ and need to grind that little nub off the front/center/top of the steering box. It is about 5/8" tall and is part of the casting. From the outside it looks like it serves no purpose. I almost chopped that fawker off....but I thought I would ask first.

What the Hell! CHop it they are cheap. I got one the other day for 12.00 bucks with out a core at the local yard.

I know they are cheap and I should just cut it but I was done working on it yesterday and I thought I would ask. So have you cut one or just letting me know they are cheap?
