A/C compressor for onboard air?

i read an artical in 4WOR and a guy used his ac compressor for onboard air, i am putting a 01 4.3 in my cj and would like to do the same, what other components do i need, has anyone done this?

I woudl check out Kilby, they offer kits or individual pieces you will need as well as offer good info.

If your motor already has a compressor, it may work, but may not last long. Many AC compressors rely on the freon for lubrication. You can rig a lube system, but not worth the hassle and lack of reliability to me. The York 210 is the popular compressor for OBA. It has a oil bath and puts out very good CFM. You can get one off a car at your local junk yard or spend the big duckets and get one from Kilby.

This is a common mode and tons of info is available here as well as google. Hate to say it in the noob section, but search. More info than you know what to do with will turn up. There are tons of different ways to do it, research it all and do what you think is best. It was even a TOTW with more than a few pages.
