Leaking TJ Woes

I searched this topic and didn't find anything on TJs so...

I bought a 98 TJ sport for a Daily driver a few months back, recently i noticed that i have a serious leak in my passenger firewall area. I'm well aware of the leaky jeep areas in my YJ, so i checked the cow udder, i took the cowl panel off the TJ sealed up all the areas where i thought water could get in. I then noticed that after putting the garden hose into the cowl area that the water was leaking from what appears to be the AC condenser box (the box that is connected to the water drain tube that emptys into the engine compartment. It also appears that there is also a foam donut in between the firewall and the condenser box that looks like a seal but it doesn't look like its in bad shape. Is this a typical problem that anybody else has experienced? I'm getting frustrated that I'm being defeated by a damn leak. Any help would be appreciated before i go mad doctor on my dash.

Please keep in mind as well that this is my daily driver and not my wheeler, I would rather fix the problem correctly rather than pull out the carpeting and pop the drain holes.

A friend of mine just bought an 2001 TJ and it leaked like a sive in the same area. If I remember correctly he got it corrected. I will ask him and see what he did.

I had a 97 tj that leaked at the same spot. It would leak while running the AC or in heavy rain. I added a 90 degree turn down with a small section of plastic tubing and silicone sealant around where the drain came out of the firewall. no more wet carpet.
