I have a lead on a 04 TJ 4.0 engine with less than a 1000 miles that I want to buy for future use.

I own a 97 TJ and a 92 XJ both with 4.0 HO.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE THREE ?????????????

04 has no distributor and is OBDII w single fuel line, 97 has distributor and is OBDII w single fuel line, and 92 is OBDI distributor and return fuel line I think. If the price is good and you can get the computor, emission controls, and underhood harness go for it. The longblock can be used in both your rigs but the XJ will take a different water pump. Some one may be able to add to this.
