need to know some basics i have searched before and now search is outta commission so im asking im fixing to trade my zuk for a yj i have a couple questions about the gearing... the guy said it was re-geared and now has 4.11's my question though is didnt some 4 cylinder's come with those gears... for reference it's a 93 yj with a 2.5 4 cylinder and a 5 speed... just curious if the stock gears were 4.11's or numerically lower... if you have info please let me know im trying to figure out if this guy is pulling my leg...

all 4 cylinder YJs (and TJs as well) come with 4.10s in the Dana 30 front and the Dana 35 rear.

it was my impression that all 4 cylinder YJs had the 4.10s. did the auto tranny models have 3.73s?

if it is a 4 banger and manual it is 4.10 gears from factory, if it is auto the owner may have swapped it in. so if it is a stick then he is trying to hose you out of some money

I don't know "1st hand" about all, but, I've found that most of the 4cyl/auto YJ's come with 3.73's.

ok thanks guys its a 4 cylinder with a manual tranny just checking the gearing.. it will be getting new gets and lockers as soon as i can afford them...
