CJ-7's heater blower upgrade
Hi,
I've been searching for a while now and am not able to find the exact answer to my question... I have a 1981 CJ-7 and since my heater core seems to be leaking, I want to go ahead and do the heater motor upgrade while I install the new core. The question is: will the heater motor from an 1991-1995 YJ work? I know that the one from a 1987-1990 YJ works but I hear it's not much improvement if any to the stock CJ-7 heater motor. I also hear that the Blazer heater motor can be swapped, but I would like to stick with the Jeep one. Thanks a lot for any help. Pablo

If I remember right... Someone help me.. The blower from a mid 70's Chevy can give you alot more air... Not sure which year but it was an easy install especially if you already have the core out.... Why stick with jeep if something else works better....

Take measurements of your current blower motor, then root around in a local junkyard until you find something newer that you think might work better. It'll save you a heck of a lot over buying new stuff from catalogs and getting it shipped international.
