Milemarker winch install on CJ7
A little help please !!!
I purchased a Milermarker 9500 winch for my 86 CJ7 and a "universal mounting Channel" the problem is the channel will not line up with any existing bolt holes in my frame or front bumper, I logged onto "Milemarker.com" but can only find vendors that sell them and their 800-tech line is closed. Of course there isn't any instructions and the box reads "fits jeep wrangler all models" the problem is I own a CJ not a wrangler so has anyone had this type of problem?? FLAME IT ! ! ! RW..... |

Thanks for the reply, another question I have is: Do I mount the winch plate to the bumper bolt holes on top of the bumper or set the plate on the frame behind the bumper closer to the grill? What holes did you use? RW. |

i ordered a universal plate with mine too, and none of my boltes lined up either. so i got the drill out and drilled 6 5/8" holes total, two on both sides in the front, and 1 on each side in the back, the front ones i bolted and the rear ones i filled in will weld to make it harder for someone to steal the winch and such. i also had to get the cut off saw out and trim it as it was way to wide. but other then an hour of extra work it was a piece of cake to do. plus i did not have to wait another week for the right one to come in. just a thought
