yj windsheild

I have a brand new windsheild frame for my 95 YJ. The glass companines want a arm and a leg for the glass. Has anybody done it buy just giving the glass company a measurment to cut out. Or has anybody used lexan and made their own windsheild. Thanks.

Where do you live and is the jeep insured? in SC insurance companys are required to replace missing or dammages windshields without penelty

i've never made a leaxan windshield for a yj buit i have for race cars. i wouldn't suggest lexan if you plna on using windshield wipers though. one wiper swipe across some mud and the windshield will be scratched

Speed glass is an option but its $380 for a windshield, per a source at colorado4x4.org.

I bought my frame from another jeep guy local He saold me a brand new windsheild frame and motor wipers and the linkage. for 50.00 I just need rubber and glass.

where have you looked for the windshield.. i ordered my glass through fast glass for 176 installed. my cousin also did the same thing for the same price.

New windshields here are 126.00 and 70 bucks to install.......
