Skid plate recommendations/pics

I have an np435 and np208 behind my 258 in an 88 yj. What is everyone's recommendations for a belly skid? I would love to see some pics of what you have done to your rigs, especially ones with a similar setup. I have a plate of 1/4" and plenty of 2x2" 1/8" tubing at my expense. The problem I have with mine is that the tranmission mount is right beside the front output from the tcase and I will have to mount the tranny onto an unsupported area. Please help before I do something stupid, like sell it for a ricer.
Thanks in advance,
Jordan

heepr on here is a tard...happy cam?

if you sell it and buy a ricer i'll come down there with my big truck and run it over

how much protection do you need? are you all ways in rocks or just our good ole red clay? if it's just the red a skid really isn't much needed the pan on my 20 took a BUNCH of red hard pack with just scratches if it's rocks, well make something that works for you. or you could swing buy here, i'll help you out. I don't have a bender at the monent but we can notch, bend, weld. just bring some plasma cutter tips :P and your steel

That sounds good, are you a business or just doing it for 'fun'? I'll get in touch with you and see if we can get together and work on it some time. Anybody else have some pics of their rig's skid?

I'm running a t18 d20 in my YJ. I'm not sure how the overall setup compares, but I think the size of the tranny should be similar. Here is a link to some pics of a cross-member / skid that I built for mine using 1.5" square tube and 3/16" plate. I'm running a JKS bl but I still couldn't get the skid completely tucked (it hangs down about 1"). Mounts to stock frame holes, uses standard tranny mount, and I had to hammer the floor a bit to clear the t-case.

That looks pretty close to what I've finally decided to go with, has it dented much on the rocks or anything?

nothing yet. With all the support the frame provides I don'y really expect it should. I can always go thicker if it does.
