What exhaust combo are you running
Right now I am running a header back 2.5" system with no cats and a cherry bomb looking muffler(exhaust was on the jeep when I bought it.)
I recently took the body lift off and had to cut part of the tip off (it exited out the passengers side behind the rear tire and was put on when the jeep had the body lift.) I have to take the whole system off to fix the tip so I decided I may want to change the whole system. The muffler has some large dents from a damaged driveshaft, and the pipe from the header to the muffler wasnt very well bent. My current system has almost no back pressure and even though I lose some torque I do like it. It sounds pretty good I would like it to be a little deeper and have more bark. I was wondering what other people are running on their jeeps and the results they are getting. I have a 94 with the 4.0L I will not be putting the cats back on. I saw an ad for flomasters new "off road" mufflers but I think I would just be paying for the diamondplate pattern on the casing. I was wondering if anyone exhaust exits out the side in front of the pas. side rear tire?

I run a cherry bomb with a turn down. Lil bit loud but it doesn't get hung up on stuff like my old Magnaflow.
My cousin runs a 2.5" pipe right off the header to a cherry bomb. Loud as hell, back fires all the time (sounds like a gun shot), it's kinda cool though do to the back fires.

I can't stand loud exhausts. Maybe I'm getting older. I hate the sound of flowmasters on anything but V-8's as well. Dynomax makes a nice muffler, but pricey. I use the standard OEM style mufflers on all my junk. I like to hear myself think.

On my old 5.9 Durango I had Borla headers, 2.5" pipes, X-pipe, and two Borla mufflers. I was in love with the sound it made before I put the Borla on there, And wanted to cream in my pants after the new one was put on.
I think I'm going to get a Borla header and muffler for my TJ, I absolutely fucking loved the sound out of the 5.9
