03 TJ 100k Check Up
The GF`s 03 TJ turned 100,000kms recently and I think it`s time for a tune up and what not.
So, oil change, plugs, wires (no cap or rotor since it`s coil on plug), lube the chassis up but what else should I do? Brakes, u-joints and all that see fine, no noises. I`m rebuilding the front drive shaft because it`s got angry sparrows.

Change ALL the oils, coolant, replace ALL hoses, belts, filters. Spark plug wires. Flush brake fluid etc. You can call Jeep and get a list for the 100,000 mi service. And don't try to save a few $$$ on cheap "no-name" parts. But top line all the way

Have the fuel system cleaned out... Not the over the counter crap, get a good 3 stage type cleaner, or have your local shop do it. Clean the throttle body out. Carbon tends to build up in the TB making it lose power over time. Give the exhaust a good once over, check the manifold for leaks or cracks. |
