Picture of Trans Mount Wagoneer q-trac

I bought a 73 Wagoneer, TH400/Quadtrac the idiot before me, rigged up some crappy half ass tranny mount, with no torque arm mount, it ended up breaking the mounting tabs on the transmission/xfercase adapter, anywho I got a new adapter installed and have the right tranny and torque arm mount but I am having a hell of a time figuring out which way the torque arm bushing go, a pic would do me some good

Thanx

While I don't know which way your torque arm bushings go, I don't think many people use them. I would check your motor mount bushings, I bet they're toast, and are the real reason that you're having problems. If they are that torque arm is going to transfer the rotational stresses to your transmission case itself, or possibly back into that same mount (I'd need to see a picture of it).

edit: my Waggy 360/727 setup in my YJ doesn't have a torque arm and it's working fine.

Dang, I meant to scan a pic of the service manual last night. Sorry, I'll try and remember this thread tonight. It has an exploded diagram.

I had replaced my trans mount and not the torque arm mount and I found I still had a bunch of driveline wrap on my 75 Wag (360/TH400/QT). I couldn't find a replacement mount so I used some old body bushings and it made it much better, so I would recommend them.

Sorry for the delay. Here's the pic. I had to turn it sideways to make it readable at 640x480.
