I want to convert my 5 bolt hub to a 6 bolt. Can I just buy the 6 bolt hubs that 4 wheel parts sells or do I need to go with warns hub converion?

Either the Warn conv kit or find a set of 6 bolt hubs from a stock CJ.

What axle do you have? Early D30's (CJ's) had "C's" that accepted D44 knuckles and hubs, allowing 6-lug Jeep outers and locking hubs. The later model D30 is a much different axle. It's very expensive to convert these axles to lock-out hubs and the 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern; don't believe you can convert them to 6-lug, though.

Yes it is worth it, the stock 5 bolt hubs on a CJ D30 are plastic and break really easy.

Like I said before.

Either buy the WARN conversion kit or find yourself a set of hubs from roughly a 79' CJ-7 that had the 6 bolt hubs and then buy a set of WARN premium hubs to bolt them too. All the spindles/hubs are the same just bolt and go.

Period.
