Oil pressure gauge not working
Have a 97 TJ 6 cyl.,transplanted a 2005 6 cyl 4.0 in the jeep. Used 97 wiring harness and everthing works except oil pressure gauge. Manually tested at 60 pounds, so I know the engine has oil pressure. Installed new sending unit in rear of block for a 97, but still does not work. Any suggestions

maybe your gauge cluster is fucked? when i had my 98 TJ it decided to go after a few trips off-road. also check your connections and wires. but thats just my $0.02

Are you sure its the right sending unit? I remember that for my 94 ZJ there were 2 diffrent units, both fit, but only one would work. Learned that the hard way.
If so just get out the ol multimeter and make sure the wiring is good.

oil gauge
cluster is fine, put in different one and oil gauge still does not function. Put in manual gauge that works great. Must be the difference between the 97 harness and ecm and the 2005 engine. Wuld like to run both gauges to get the check gauges and check engine light out.
