Do they not work at all, or do they only blow out the defrost vents on the dash?
The latter is not uncommon and is confused for not working at all - while symptoms of drastically different issues. |

When you say fan I'm assuming you mean the blower motor. I recently had a similar problem in my '95 XJ. What had happened was the connector on the back of the switch had melted, and was preventing contact between the switch and the wiring harness. If you pull the control panel out (pretty easy to do) and flip it around you will see what I'm talking about. What I did to fix it was remove the connector and crimp in new female insulated connectors and slid them onto the back of the switch. Everything appears to be working fine so far.
