Body Armor Rear Bumper

Hey everyone. I have been searching around for a rear bumper for the last few months for my '00 Jeep Wrangler. I want a bumper that carries at least one jerry can and a hi-lift jack. So far the best bet that I have come across is the rear bumper by Body Armor. Does anyone have any experience with this particular bumper? Or could you point me in the direction of an alternative? Thanks.

I don't have any experience with the body armor stuff, but you might want to check out LOD. a couple of my buddies have some of their stuff, and it seems to be very well made.

personally I wouldnt get anything LoD. In my experience there tire carriers rattle and the tire moves more than if it was on the tailgate. I know someone who has one and there not happy with it. (35" spare)

Body Armor is a company I believe out of Corona Ca. and i've heard they make beefy stuff. Might want to check out www.shrockworks.com I've got one of there tire carriers on the wifes TJ and have been very happy with it. Damn strong!!! and well made.

My buddy has a set up from JC FAB and Design out of Sylmar California and holds two jerry cans jack and tire, really stout product and should be cheaper than Road Armour

KozOffRoad.com They have the best rear swing out bumper I have ever put my hands on. Here is a pic of the one I had on the YJ. I pulled it off when I sold it and it will be going on the TJ soon. Here is why I give them props. #1 It is a BUILT bumper. Very well made. #2 It has KC lights in the rear bumper they don't get knocked off like some set ups I have seen. #3 You can opt. for the Jerry can set up like I did. Here is a pic ( I didn't have the tire on it in the pic but it shows the bumper off better that way)

As for front bumpers. The best one I have ever put my hands on was from Nates4x4.com. Below is a pic. They are the best made front bumper I know of and on top of that they are cheap. He is a guy that started his own company and he is giving away his bumpers just to get his name out there. here is a pic below. (pic came from his site but I had one for the YJ. VERY NICE!!!

As for armor. I feel that you can't go wrong with PoisonSpyder.com for their armor. It is killer stuff. They work with you well on the phone too. Here are a few pics of my TJ that has the rockers, gas tank skid etc with their product.

You are correct!!! I am a General Contractor. A father. I live in the country. And I have been working my @$$ off on the side to pay for all of my toys. I just found out I have another kid on the way too. So needless to say I haven't had much time to get out this year and the few times I have I haven't had my camera on me. I'll post some up when I get them.

I have a bulletproof on the TJ. It was on it when I bought it. I do like it though. multiple options for carrying jerry cans and other stuff....

http://www.bulletproofmfg.com/

may not be the best pic to show the additional mounts.

Body Armor has the beefiest products available. Check the results on jpmagazine of this month. They evaluated all mayor brands so see for yourself. That article will help you to make your desision. BTW.. i have removed my Body Armor rear bumper/tire carrier and will be selling it shortly.
