1st test: Pro Comp long arm LJ

We just returned from our second weekend of testing the "New" long arm kit for the unlimited (LJ) from the boys at Pro Comp Suspensions. This system has everything! It even comes with a complete new tapered skid pan for more side clearance and it completley covers the Auto trans pan too. The rear links have their own mount seperate of the main skid plate. It also has a rear truss support that utilizes the diff cover bolts to help strenghten it. With the new arms built to fit the vehicle, not the mounts made to fit the arms....
and WOW does it work awsome!!!

We pre ran the Lucerne 200 course 2 weeks ago in the extreme heat (108 degrees) and the system worked flawlessly all day. The harder we pushed it, the better it handled. The shocks handled the long bodied, hardtop coverd, interior packed, vehicle with little effort. We did test the bump stops on some of the larger whoops, but it never gave us the tooth jarring slams I'm used to feeling when getting a little to much of the skinny pedal. The boys did their homework with this kit , and I highly recommend it.

I had'nt mentioned that this kit was installed on my wife's 05 Rubicon Unlimited. Yes I got approval 1st. But It was amazing the differance in the ride on the pavement compared to the kit that was removed. It rides better and smoother than stock. Did I mention the kick ass sway bar disconnect for the unlocked vehicles.

We decided to give it a little bit of a test following most of the desert sections of the King of the Hammers course, the temp was up to 120 in the back canyons. Alot more frame twisters and boulders. It took everthing in stride. I now have to rethink finishing my Scrambler with the coilover conversion. Moma's ride is Nice.

I hope to get some photos soon and will continue to post up after the next thrash, OOPS I meant test session.
