cj5 flat skid

i got a an 1980 cj5 and was wondering if there is anyone who makes flat belly plates for the cj or do i just have to make my own.

i know that i have to clock the dana 300 flat and run a new cv shaft in the rear and prob lengthen the front. also what shifters for the dana 300 when doing the flat belly i would like to run twin stick.

problems to be aware of/look for... The t-case will probly hit the floorpan without mods to floor or body lift. If said Jeep has more than a couple inches of lift, its gonna be tough to get any rear drivline to live in it, unless the rear axle has been moved back quite a bit.

Clocking the 300 will not change the rear driveshaft angle at all.

Agreed, and you can clock it 90* straight up and you still wont have a flat belly pan unless you raise it, or do you just lower the skidplate to the level of the trans mount?

I read the question to mean he wanted to have the skidplate flat with teh frame rails, tho that was not actually stated.

i know clocking it doesnt change the angle but if i raise it it does.

my questions are

1. would a regular bolt on twin stick setup work when it is clocked flat.
will the extreme angle of the shifters get in the way of the tranny or can i just bend the shifters up and do some floor pan trimming

2. is there someone that makes a flat skid plate for a cj (i dont have the shop or tools to do fab work to make one easily)

3. does anyone have any pictures of there setup
