MC 2100 help

I am working on swapping the carter BBD to the motorcraft 2100 on my '79 CJ7 with the 258. I have found most of the info I need on the internet, but I cannot find a picture of the bracket I will need to fabricate to change the throttle linkage from a rearward pull to a downward pull. Anyone have a picture or template that they will share?

I cut part of the Carter bracket off and welded it to the MC bracket. It was a fairly small part, it didn't take much to get the right length to have it line up with the throttle cable.

I also had to make up a bracket to get the throttle return springs to work. I don't remember what I used there though, just a few scraps and part of an original bracket from the MC.

No pictures to share of it though, but it was pretty simple.

Intake

Look on top of the intake manifold. There should be two threaded holes on top (there between the carburetor and the intake manifold).

Picture a bracket that bolts to those holes, goes over and provides a spot to attach the throttle cable. That's what you want.

What cable are you using? I think you want a 304 cable. Maybe something off of a Furd.

all the guides said make it a pulldown but I found it much easier for hooking it up using the pull back.
