Low Beams Don't Work, High Beams Do

i have a 95 jeep cherokee and last night the headlights stopped working. when the light switch is pulled out the parking lamps still work. the high beams work as well but not the low beams. i checked the fuses they all look fine. any ideas?

could it possibly be the turn signal switch too? in my YJ i have left brake light issues but if i wiggle the handle it works, and also my high beams will flicker and go out. I'm just curious if it could all be in that one switch since the turn signal handle also switches high beams.

I vote for the dimmer switch is faulty.

You need to check the lamps themselves also. Possible lowbeam lamps out.

But that would be extremely rare that BOTH Low beam lamps would go out at the same time.

So a possible fauly dimmer switch is not making contact.

while the low beams are turned on and not functioning, reach about half way down the steering column under the dash. you will find a connector that plugs into the column. wiggle this. you may need to pull it and scrape corrosion off the connector.

I also suspect dimmer switch. You may also want to clean the connections on the headlights. I had a car that would repeatedly do this.
