TBI Help!

Spent a couple hours searching and found the answers to most of my questions but not all of them. I have an 81 Cj7 that I'm putting a used Howell TBI kit on it, so I don't have all the directions making it more along a junkyard build. Anyway I started eliminating the smog stuff and unfortunately I have a transition year where it's "sort of" computer controlled but has the smog pump, air rail on the manifold, etc. I have a few q's

1. What is the best way to eliminate the smog pump. If I take it off the belt system isn't right and will rub with a shorter belt because the PS pump and Alt brackets are so low. Anybody have any tricks out there. I'm guessing I'll have to find brackets for the alt and PS from an ealier model or somehow find and idler type pulley to put where the pump was. I'll probably put the pump back on it until I find a solution and just keep it open (not hooked up). Any problems with this?

2. How much of the old wiring harness can I take out? I have an MCU mounted on the driver's fender that I was told is for the o2 sensor and of course all the dizzy and coil stuff. Can I eliminate this or do I need this for the duraspark system?

3. What have you guys used or tapped into for the 12V Acc (it needs to be hot while cranking and running unlike your radio)?

4. Howell talks about a fuse block used to hook up wires to acc. power but mine doesn't have a fuse block. Are these the three red wires that go inside the cab? Is there another way I can hook these up?

So these questions are vague without pics, but I'm hoping someone has done this and knows exactly what I'm talking about.
