I have a 2000 jeep wrangler. I used a steering box off of a 1996 chevy S10 blazer 4x4 i think the boxes will work from 1982 to 2002 not a 100% sure on the years. It is a direct bolt on. You have to use the pitman arm off of the jeep box. They say the dakota steering boxes are stronger. I have a 4in lift and 33 tsl tires and locked on both ends and i dont have any problem turning them in the rocks or on highway. You can get a chevy steering box cheaper than a jeep or dodge at the junkyard..
