ok doing a swap on my 91 YJ and got the brackets to do the swap but the track bar bracket was not included, i contacted the comapny and they said I did not need the track bar it was worthless for a leaf spring rig. is this correct? this is a street driven rig also.
The only issue with taking the front one off is a little bump steer. But I have more flex without it so it pays off...the back I dont think is any different ..Its my understanding that CJ's dont have them at all
If you have bumpsteer without the track bar, you have bumpsteer with it only you can't feel it. Track bars on leaf spring vehicles comes from the pussification of america. People expect Jeeps to drive like sports cars and will sue if they don't:shaking:
Travis..
Spring over axle, no trac bars ft. or rear. a 2000 has coil springs, got to run trac bars or some way to keep axles centered. The leaf springs keep the axle centered.
