Anyone done this yet? pics? I am doing a 5" stretch wheelbase, plannin on nothching the stock coil mounts and then fish-plating the rear frame. also have the poly outboard kit to install with some 12" fox's.
Sorry, maybe i wasn't clear with what i was asking. I was wondering if anyone has seen, or has pictures of A jeep TJ that has had the coil buckets moved back into the frame for a wheelbase stretch, and outboarded mounted shocks (poly performance) shocks, It just doesn't seem like there's a lot of room back there. I have looked at Stu's link a bunch of time, but he does not have a stretched wheelbase.
I stretched my TJ 6" with Gen rights coilover set up. I notched the frame and run 2.0 kings. Not in love with doing it that way. If you go full width i would not notch the frame. I am 65" wide notched the frame and braced the crap out of it. Going to tie it into the roll bar mount for extra security. I think as long as you weld it up good and brace it you are good.
I have more pics if you need them. I got mine from Steve at OffRoadOnly. They're PolyPerformance brackets and Steve provides the templates to help with cutting the frame. It was a good one-day project.
