I talked to a guy who has an NV4500, I can get it for next to nothing but third gear is broken, Is it worth getting it repaired or just look at another trans.
I have a 97 jeep TJ with a 2.5 liter in it, I will upgrade the motor, But not in the near future. I am just focused on the drive train first. Would the NV4500 be a good fit for a my jeep? Should I consider a different transmission? I know the AX5 in the jeep is not that great. Though it has held up well so far.
I am running 35's and snapped an axle (swapping a 8.8 in as we speak) I am just looking to upgrade the weak links. I already have a T18 transmission i pulled out of a 80's jeep truck. Would it be a better swap. I know I have to change the input shaft. It has a very low 1st gear in it and an AMC 20??? Transfer case hooked to it.
call advance adapters they have a kit to bolt nv4500 behind you 2.5L. this is the drivetrain i'm running. i have have an atlas behing the 4500 and i love it. best money i spent
