I have an 92 cherokee and my speedometer quit the other day. i havent traced it out but im sure its simple. i thought i would ask you guys first, you might know where to start the search

It's probably your speedometer sensor which is located on your t-case. go to dailydriventj.com to check it out.

mine went out twice. The transfercase speedo output went bad on mine both times. (on the tail housing of the t-case, couple wires come out of a black chunk of plastic, grab a crescent wrench and remove it, take it to the heep steelership and get a new one).

that's the spedo sensor.
