Finally got some pics today .First one is of the CJ5 with the comp cut . I also went and got some 16 gauge sheetmetal for my new dash and new extension on the floor boards and sides for stretch. a couple of pics are how i'm gonna setup my dash.

I got to bend some new channels for the extension as well. I'm going saturday to pull body off the wagoneer frame I will be using. Hopefully we will get that done and at least pull the motor/trans ,transfer and put in new frame. Very Slow Build.

I started working on the dash tonight and I got the gauge panel tacked to the dash and drilled all the holes . First time i have really welded. Well just tacked but anyways. I think the dash is going to look sweet. I will post some pics later. Once again very slow build. Oh yeah I sold the frame one step closer to my KM2's !!!!!!

Hmmm. Could be really cool. Or really...not cool.
Why comp cut & stretch? Why comp cut and rear leafs, w/ only 35s?
Not bashing, just wondering. I like how your keeping it all Jeep. I do see some Frankensuck potential if its hacked together.

Last time i checked this is NON HARDCORE ! HAHA
I hope its going to be cool . There is one on Blue Torch photo forum that has the strecth at the doors that i'm going for. Web Site and link down though. As far as why comp cut and only 35's and stretch. I'm stretching it so i will have more room for family ,tools, gear, and etc. Comp cut and 35's because i want to keep it low and this a multipurpose rig where i can drive to the trails near my house (http://www.choccoloccomountain.com/ ), and http://www.mountainsideoffroadpark.com/index.html, and http://www.morrismountainorv.com/index.htm
all within 30 minutes of my house ,wheel and then come home. Yeah i am trying to keep it all jeep because i can get alot of parts easily. This is my first build though and i hope it's not going to Frankensuck ( haha) . But this is just a trail and error Build . Thanks for any feed back and any comments .

Here is the cj5 from Blue Torch FAB.http://www.bluetorchfab.com/gallery2...g2_itemId=1831. My doors openings should look like this when completed possibly same length as entire jeep not sure . Mine will sit lower , plus i will only run 35's.

If you plan to do any type of rock crawling ditch the headers now while you can. GO with either a block hugging shorty style header or stock exhaust manifolds.

Also since its apart, contact bulltear.com and get your self a nickle plated timnng cover and matched oil pump gears. much easier to replace when its all apart.

The motor is already together. It was built by my uncle. I think he used some bulltear parts on it . Not sure which ones. But he orders a good bit of stuff from them for his 360's and 401's. Thanks for the advice on the headers.

Update: Finally got to work on the 74 waggie. My uncle and my cousin and I got the body off the frame . ( That was fun) My uncle had his J10 pulling the body and cousn with Honda 4x4 wheeler yanking the frame. Yeah were Rednecks but it worked. I will have alot of cleaning on the frame to do but will be worth it. I will post some pics later.

Building them is half the fun. I like the idea of the strech at the door opening. You'll never be able to run doors, but what the hell. It looks great, keep the pics coming.
Weld that dash full length 1" at a time to reduce warpage.....

Nope, Its not Mark or Don its Benji. I figured a way to still run the soft doors . I'm going to take fabric off door and then cut metal tubing in the middle an then weld in some longer pieces and then put new fabric back on. Mr. Willys thank you for the welding tips. Glad to see you on here TopherGreen.
Now Tophergreen you need to get something and start building.

Update : Well I got the frame today and man its really long. I did some measuring and i'm going to either have to cut the frame or add more body to it.

update: I went and picked up my other 2 tires from 4wheelparts at 175.00 a pop again. My wife said merry Christmas. I have been working on the frame some stripping down parts I don't need brackets and what not. I think i'm going to try and add 10 inches to hood and run tube fenders to avoid having to move the drivetrain back any for proper tire placement. I really want to keep drivetrain in same place that way i'm able to run stock driveshafts and have an abundance of extra spares. I'm very excited about tophergreen gonna get a jeepster hopefuly this weekend. Thinking of painting the jeep a flat black with clear coat not sure along ways off, but i've seen a couple of flat murdered out jeeps and it looks sweet.

Here are some pics .Couple of pics are of the waggie frame . Couple of the tire next to the flat black paint (I like it). One is my daughter driving the Jeep . She cried so hard when we had to go back inside. She is getting a Jeep rubicon power wheels for her birthday on December 1st. Last pic is of a 67 Jeepster my buddy is buying for 500.00.
