Death Wobble
My XJ has horrible death wobble between 25-35 mph. The ball joints, wheel bearings...and bushings on the links are all good. My trac bar was a bitch to get back into place when I changed my old cv dana 30 out for a newer one with a loc-rite. I had the same problem with the old axle.....I'm running 4.5 BDS coils with the factory short arms...It seems like everyone that I know that has lifted an xj or tj for that matter has had the same problem....anyone have any info for me?

First this is the wrong forum to be asking this question.
As for your question. Most likely the caster is out since you have 4.5" of lift with factory arms. Could be the steering gear has to much play in it. Are your tie rod ends good? Last edited by WilBadger; 08-31-2008 at 01:30 AM. |

Moved to non-hard core.
a 4.5 should have longer lowers, that wont help your problem, but may not fix it.
