Auto Trans Question
I over filled my 32 RH the other day and didnt realize it until I saw a puddle under the Jeep.It seems to be dripping down the dust shield(Flywheel) and front of trans.Question, did I damage a seal or did it get blown out the vent on front of trans? I have already gotten it back to the correct level.Any trans. guru's out there? Thanks Eddie

odds are you have a front pump seal leaking if its dripping out of the bellhousing. thats the only thing that is really going to cause a leak from there. there is a seal for the pump to case and a seal for the torque converter. either one can leak. trans has to come out to fix it.

I think I may of solved the shifting problems and the leak stopped after I got it back to the correct level.I will run it to see what happens and will let you know in a week or so,do you remember how much it was to get it rebuilt? Thanks Eddie

The older Torque flight transmissions had a vent in the bellhousing. Since the newer transmissions are based off of the old design, its possible the vent is still there. Since you overfilled the transmission, it could have just burped out some fluid from the vent.
Assuming the vent is still there on the newer transmissions.... |
