Not sure if this belongs in newbie, but maybe it will get a look.

Running stock YJ pump, with tapped box (saginaw). Running 1/4" hydro lines, to a 1.5x8x1 ram.

Control/steering is fine if it is not bound up or in the rocks, but it just has zero power once that happens. All the other systems I have seen turn when mine won't.

Any ideas? Rest of the specs are in sig...

If it won't turn when in a bind, you have a low pressure problem. Maybe the relief in your pump is set-up really low, or it's bad. If you have a way or know someone with a way, you can tee in a pressure gauge on the pressure line from the pump and see what the pressure is at full lock and compare it to the spec (don't know off the top of my head what it is).

i haven't done it but, we had a friend with the same problem and he said he had to drill out the fitting on the pump. now agin i never done it and cant explain the details but after he did this is was perfect, jason.
