dom vs. regular tubing for tie rod

I am going to be making my tie rod and drag link this weekend out of 1.5 inch tubing with .25 inch wall...how much stronger is the dom versus regular tubing? And is it necessary?

Send a message via AIM to Corey Young Send a message via Yahoo to Corey Young
Use 1.5" solid: hot rolled, cold rolled, stress proof, stainless or cromo, its all good and most big steel mills have remnants for cheap.
