My new stinger!
Just wanted to post pictures of my new stinger that my buddy and I put on the TJ. I bought a hoop from Rusty's cause we didn't have a tube bender, and then we used some 1/4" DOM for the brace bars, and welded it into the tube fenders. That's him sizing things up.
Soccer moms beware! ![]() ![]() Then I put Herculiner on it, that stuff is TOUGH! I'm going to do the Smittybuilt tube fenders with it next, since they rust at the joints. ![]()

![]() I'd have to buy a long trailer if my Jeep had a stinger that long 'cause I wouldn't be able to park close enough to the front rig to fit.

Depends on its purpose i guess.
If its to protect the hood/radiator from a roll then its too long in my opinion. the angle and length put a lot of leverage on your fenders/grill and may rip them right out in a hard endover. Also could get in the way when you approach a steep obstacle. If its to keep you from fallin in to cracks of a glacier, perfect!

Its your rig so just my .02 but that stinger is waay to big. I remember coming down some steep steep ass side hill into a creek bed which was a V notch and with just a stubby bumper and NO stinger it was tight, with a stinger that big I would have been unable to drop into the V notch let alone when I came back down the water fall. But again your rig as long as your happy. |

Where is the flat spot on top?
You need a place to hold your beverage when your up front... That's a long walk to the fender

i think FAA is going to require the installation of strobe lights to warn airtraffic of danger.
i dunno it doesnt look too much larger then the PSC one that everyone is running and mine has yet to get in the way but has kept my rears from getting in front of me |
