302 swap questions

i got a cheap 302 (ford 5.0) and there is a thread with 95 pages...but i cant find the answer to my question...has anyone use the AA for the ax15 to this engine? and is it a good idea?

Depends on how healthy your 302 is. If its around 200 hp then more then likely with just keeping in mind that its a medium duty tranny you will probably be ok.

There are other transmissions out there though, NP435 are a dime a dozen.

AA makes nice stuff, I prefer Novak. Both work though.

My experience with a SBF attached to a medium duty tranny is not so good. I have a 302 with a little extra attached to a T-150. Keeps twisting the teeth off second gear. Happend three times. Tranny lasts about 2-3 years. I'm putting a FMX in mine. This will be bullet proof.
