It's simple: If you are unsure post in non-hard core.

Too bad we can't rate users, and only those with a good ratings would get to post in the better sections.
I like the idea of some newbie Tuesday poster starts a thread about articulation, I could rate it poorly. Say 100 people rate it poorly, and then it would take him 100 days before he could post in hardcore again.

"Sorry your user rating is too low to post in the section. Please try the 'Jeep - Non Hardcore' or 'Newbie General 4x4 Discussion' sections until your post rating has improved."

so, if there is a real question asked and some on ehas honestly shown that they put in effort to help them selfs they get helped, there is a reason that there is 3 jeep sections, i wish there was 2 chevy sections. if you honeslty belive that body lift and fender flares belong in the same section as full tube chassis and ls6 swaps then you should quit whining about assholes and start whining to the mods about having to many forums.

There are 3 different section because of the popularity of jeeps and the modifications that are done to them.

Non-hardcore: for newb jeeps to get their feet wet about simple mods and different apps to their jeep.

Hardcore: for serious tech and modifications

Jeep J/K: for the new age jeep the the masses that have them.

The number of jeep owner trump any other make of vechical in the offroad market. Seriously do you think you see a lot of Chevy 4x4 out on the trails compaired to Jeeps?

Its real simple. Read the rules and locate the correct section you should post in. No need in cluttering up Hardcore with simpe modifications posts. This place is for customs fabs and jeeps that are pushed to their limits. Not the daily driver rigs with 33's and a body lift.

popafink what you clearly don't understand is right at the top of the harrdcore section is an entire thread that's always there to tell you what is hardcore and what is not. lets say you tell someone read this first and ask me after your done reading it and they just start questioning you? how are you going to respond? you going to be able to keep your cool for long how about if he never read the book and asked you questions about it on a weekly basis for 2-3 years? what if other people started asking you about this book they never read and so on and so on.

If you don't know if it's hardcore or not. Chances are, it's not hardcore.

Lots of good comments and yep, in some cases hardcore is a gray line. But the main thing about the hardcore section is to provide a central channel of hardcore info.

As hardcore sometimes is subjective and in the eye of the beer holder, everyone here works hard, and not just the mods, including other members reporting and making suggestions to keep this uncluttered and a grail of useful hardcore Jeep information.

Well said above, and the FAQ will give you a good step in the right direction, and if you really have to ask, it probably it is not.... And this is getting moved to non-hardcore

I may have some of the stupidest threads and questions but at least I try to post in the right place. I do agree that there are a lot of ass holes on here who do nothing but rag on people. Just ignore them.

Anyone can be an ass, it takes a bit of character to be an ass hole...

There's a guy in charge of the Cherokee forums, Ashman, and he moves threads to the appropriate section so that each doesn't get cluttered with stuff that doesn't belong. He doesn't move it to be a jerk, he's just the moderator.
