XJ 30 to TJ

I have a club member with a TJ Dana 30 low pinion, he is looking to buy a 30 out of an XJ,it is high pinion with ARB, 4.56 gearing. will it bolt into the TJ?Both have coil springs but are mounts & brackets in the same place?

Direct bolt in swap. The only differences besides the pinion location and reverse cut gears are the LCA tabs don't have cam bolt horseshoes which is a good thing, and the swaybar link bolts press in with a knurled shoulder. They look like they can be turned and removed, but you have to back up the head side with a heavy chunk of tubing and smack them out with a hammer to remove them like a wheel stud.

depending on what year the HP30 is have him keep and re-use his TJ shafts if they're stock in both axles. they slip right in and have the larger u-joints.

keep the HP shafts around to use as spares.
