4.7 HO help

Anyone have a grand with the 4.7 HO?

Heres the deal I was told it had a blown head gasket and they want me to change them, have it partially torn apart. pulled the valve covers off tonight to find 3 rocker arms just laying there on the drivers side and one rocker arm off one the pass side.

Is this sort of thing common on these motors?

going to take it the rest of the part because i can put one of the rocker arms back in place and it doesnt touch the cam by almost a 1/4" Looks like the valve is stuck down or something.

Yea it is quite common on the regular 4.7 and HOs. You should probably pull the head and see if the any of the valves met the pistons. It could get pretty ugly. Usually when you lose the rocker the valve beats the hell out of piston and the valve seat will acually come out of the head, that is probalbly why the valve looks stuck down. Definately pull the head and supposedlly there is an updated head that fixes this problem.
