OK, I busted up both axles & only repairing the rear for right now since I have the parts & need to drive the Jeep.

The frt pin between the spider gears broke & busted up the small spider gears. Axles are fine...

My question is: I have 4.10 rings in there now. Can I up grade only the rear with 4.88. If I pull the frt drive shaft out until I get the funds to repair the frt axle.

wtf. if you are not running the front shaft or in 4x4 it doesnt fucking matter what ratios are in either end.

Nope, I seriously don't know & don't even own a wrench. I went to Wal-mart, bought the All in one tool pack & torn everything apart.

But, this went along with my other post & should have put more info in here. It went along with since I busted the pin between the spider gears in my D30. Would be OK to pull the broken pieces out (pin & small spider gears.) Then take off the drive shaft & run it until I get the funds for the frt ring/pin & locker.

Your gonna have to pull your inner axle shafts too. You have the CAD on the passenger side. Drivers side shaft will still spin. But you will still need to keep the stub shaft installed at the unit bearing for load carrying reasons. So you will also need to remove the u-joints from the stub axles. So add u-joints to your list.

Or you could just park the jeep at your shop out front and start driving a Honda to work and back. I wish I had a Honda for a DD. Any one have a Honda I can have?
