Old Man Emu YJ springs

Anybody have any experience with these springs? Thoughts, likes, dislikes etc. I had a set on a Samurai and loved them for the flex and ride but they were a bit softer than I liked on the road. Just looking for a mild but quality lift for a DD rig. Don't want a brick shit house riding lift but also don't want it to be too sloppy for DD duties.

no personal experience, but tonnes of reading up. I am thinking about the 2.5 with four rear springs to help offset the winch. I have yet to read one negative thing about them that wasn't the drivers fault or improper use. the shocks are supposed to be killer as well.

that's the lift I'll be buying when it's that time. If it turns out a lift is needed that is.

I had a set on my scrambler for almost 10 years. I was spring over and they broke in really well after about a year of driving. The flex was really good and the overall ride wasn't bad. I ended up twisting them up pretty good towards the end because I didn't have a traction bar in the back.
I went ahead and switched to rubicon express springs mainly because ARB didn't recommend using their springs on a spring over application.

IMO they are a quality spring. I have a set that is 10 years old, they are a little S shaped front and rear (spring under) but also have a lot of off road miles on them. They flex well off road. They are a little soft without an anti-sway bar, but... there is no such thing as a free lunch.

My only minor complaint is that the "kit" comes with rock magnets for spring plates, the RE are more wedge shaped. OME makes a top notch product IMO.

IIRC, A few years ago they switched to a different manufacturer, and there was a corresponding price drop. Anybody know if quality took a hit?

Thanks for the input guys. I'm a newb to the Jeep scene. Scored a killer deal on a 93 YJ and I'm thinking about keeping it around for a while. The Sami springs I ran were great, and that was just last september, so I don't think quality took a hit. They really do have great prices on their springs. A complete set from Quadratec with shipping is around $370. Not sure what shocks I going to run yet, they never seem to be the right length when you order them in kit form with the springs.

Bringing this back from the dead. Picked up another Jeep and actually ordered a set of OME springs for it. My new question is to the guys that have ran these, did you fork out the money for the OME bushing kits or were you able to make another brand of bushing work? On the samurai OME springs I have ran i've been able to just use a stock samurai polyurethane bushing kit.
