4.0 Hesitation/miss

Ok just put a new engine in my 97 wrangler with new distributor, cap, rotor, plugs and wires. The TPS is fairly new, since the new motor went in I'm having problems with lack of power and miss above 1700rpms. I checked the distributor for the "plastic alignment pin" there was never a pin to start with and have the distributor dialed in. Leaning towards bad/dirty injector or CPS or swapping out my TPS again...

Wow ur observant L2read! I stated all the below info in first post and title only thing that wasn't said was its a 5spd...The MIL wasn't on but I did check it.

Engine is a re-manufactured from Oriellys, 97block and heads.
Checked the codes guess they have never been cleared not sure..here they are forgot to bring home the code #'s but here's what they were- All cylinders misfire 1-6, random misfire, temp sensor, IAC, and TPS. I just warranted my TPS out tonight and ill swap that out tomorrow.

as far as your jeep goes it sounds like you got a p0300 for the misfire. i would like to know if the tps, iac, and temp sens codes come back after clearing though and what the exact codes are so we know if you have an electrical problem or performance issue. if it's electrical problem one common mistake people make with engine swaps is forgetting to hook up a ground.

if the codes were old and don't come back then we can go from there...vacuum leak, timing issues (although it sounds like you got it right), etc.
